An adjustable volume container that can be used to store and carry materials, comprising a rigid exterior shell and an interior compatible polymeric lining. The rigid shell consists of a base unit and a mouthpiece unit that are connected by a plurality of interlocking units, which can move with respect to each other to allow the container to adopt varying volumes. Engaging protrusions on the mouthpiece unit and/ or interlocking units fit into hollow tracks found on the walls of the preceding interlocking units and or base unit and lock into the terminus of the lateral elements of the track. This allows one unit to slide into or out of the preceding unit, thus enabling the variation of the volume of the container.
