A dampening device for an archery bow, the dampening device absorbing vibrational energy as the limbs of the bow return to a rest position from a drawn position, the dampening device comprising at least one counterweight (110) mounted to a resilient member (100). The resilient member is mounted to a dampening device mounting region (18) located on the handle (2), riser, or limbs (5, 6) of the bow.
