ABSTRACT A color visualizing system for visualizing the appearance of a setting when certain preselected areas of such setting are colored a particular color and the remaining areas of the setting are not color altered by such coloring is provided. The system includes a color sample strip showing this particular color and a paint color visualizing device including a receiving sleeve for receiving the color sample strip in a selectively removable manner. A reproduction of the setting is displayed on the sleeve and has transparent areas corresponding to the preselected areas of the setting and opaque areas corresponding to the remaining areas of the setting. In this manner, the particular color of the color sample strip will show through the transparent areas and will blocked from sight by the opaque areas.
