The central shaft is mounted in the mold extending concentrically through the cavity with its rear end adjacent the gate and the central portion of the melt conduit aligned with the gate. Pressurized melt is injected through the gate into the central portion of the melt conduit and flows outwardly through the radial portions of the melt conduit to fill the cavity around the shaft.
