The invention relates to a method of detecting an analyte in a sample of saliva which overcomes the problems of known saliva assay methods. The method involves the use of a surfactant solution which comprises polyoxyethylenesorbitan derivatives of palmitic and/or stearic acids and is particularly useful for assaying fresh samples of saliva which are particularly prone to give false positive results.

L'invention concerne un procédé de détection d'un analyte dans un échantillon de salive, ce qui permet de solutionner les problèmes posés par les procédés connus d'analyse de salive. Ce procédé consiste à utiliser une solution à base d'un tensioactif comprenant des dérivés de polyoxyéthylènesorbitan d'acides palmitique et/ou stéarique et s'avère particulièrement efficace pour soumettre à une détection des échantillons frais de salive particulièrement enclins à produire des résultats positifs erronés.
