CA 2348321

A remotely controllable delivery door assembly, network server and method are disclosed. The door assembly includes a remotely programmable lock for locking and unlocking the door, in communication with a network interconnected computing device. The lock may receive an access code specific to a deliver destined for the assembly. The lock is operable to program itself to unlock using the access code to facilitate said specific delivery. The assembly lends itself to use with a network interconnected server that provides an access code specific to a delivery to the lock so that the door may be unlocked to facilitate a specific delivery. This access code may be provided to a deliverer of goods, such as those that may be ordered by way of an e-commerce transaction. Use of the disclosed assembly allows delivery of packages without requiring personal presence to receive such packages.
