A sealing ring (10) has first and second housings (32, 34) on opposed ends of an annular band (11). A fastener extends between threaded apertures in an end wall of each housing to fixedly engage the ends of the sealing ring (10). One or more slots (120, 122, 124, 136) in the ends of the fastener (100) are alignable with apertures (54, 56, 85, 86) in one of the side walls (36, 38) of each housing (32, 34) for receiving a security device (125). Screwdriver receiving slots (107, 119) are formed in each end of the fastener (100). An enlarged head end (106) on the fastener (100) enables finger rotation of the fastener. The end walls (74) have an elongated upper finger grip surface (62, 82). Bendable mounting tabs (50) extend from each housing (32, 34) into slots (52) in the annular band (11) to fixedly mount the housings to the annular band.

Une attache est disposée entre les ouvertures filetées sur une paroi d'extrémité de chaque boîtier en vue de bloquer les extrémités de la bague d'étanchéité (10). Une ou plusieurs fentes (120, 122, 124, 136) situées au niveau des extrémités de l'attache (100) peuvent être alignées sur des ouvertures (54, 56, 85, 86) situées dans l'une des parois latérales (36, 38) de chaque boîtier (32, 34) pour loger un dispositif de sécurité (125). Les fentes destinées à recevoir le tournevis (107, 119) sont disposées sur chacune des extrémités de l'attache (100). Une extrémité à tête élargie (106) disposée sur l'attache (100) permet de faire tourner l'attache manuellement. Les parois d'extrémité (74) sont dotées d'une surface supérieure de prise manuelle allongée (62, 82). Des pattes de fixation pliables (50) s'étendent à partir de chaque boîtier (32, 34) pour entrer dans des fentes (52) situées dans la bande (11) en forme d'anneau et fixer les boîtiers à ladite bande en forme d'anneau.
