A retrieval catheter operable by a single clinician that will neither displace a deployed stent nor cause undue trauma to the vascular lumen or lesion. The retrieval catheter may be sized to accommodate both a guidewire (26) and a balloon wire. The retrieval catheter is easy to navigate through tortuous passageways and will cross a previously deployed stent or stent-graft easily with minimal risk of snagging on the deployed stent or stent graft. The sheath (22) and dilator (24) are adapted to allow a guidewire or balloon wire to pass through the walls of both and to allow the sheath and dilator to move axially with respect to each other.

L'invention concerne un cathéter récupérateur actionnable par un seul clinicien et qui ne déplace pas un stent déployé ni ne cause de trauma excessif à la lumière ou lésion vasculaire. Le cathéter récupérateur peut être dimensionné pour recevoir à la fois un fil de guidage (26) et un fil de ballonnet. Le cathéter récupérateur est facile à diriger à travers des voies de passage tortueuses et traverse facilement un stent / greffon ou un stent déployé antérieurement avec un risque minimal d'accrochage du stent ou du stent / greffon déployé. La gaine (22) et le dilatateur (24) sont adaptés pour permettre à un fil de guidage ou à un fil de ballonnet de traverser leurs parois et pour permettre à la gaine et au dilatateur de se déplacer axialement l'un par rapport à l'autre.
