-21- The present invention provides a system and method that permit the efficient, integrated management of inter- related tasks comprised in a program with respect to their boundaries. The present invention also provides a system and method that permit the efficient management of multiple inter-related programs or activities that span various layers and functions. Since a boundary in one program may be related to other programs or boundaries outside of the first program, the present invention provides a manager with a visual representation of these inter-relationships and permits the manager to determine how the status of a related program or boundary might affect the manager's program. Alternatively, an employee who is currently within all assigned boundaries could access the program manager system and offer help to someone who is having trouble staying within other boundaries.
