L'invention propose un dispositif (30) de fermeture et de verrouillage des obturateurs (12) d'un inverseur de poussée (1) pour aéronef. Un tel dispositif (30) est remarquable en ce que le pêne (22) du verrou (21) est motorisé afin d'achever la fermeture de l'obturateur (12) avec l'énergie fournie par le moteur (38) et soulager ainsi le vérin (15) actionnant ledit obturateur (12). Un tel dispositif est aussi remarquable en ce qu'il comporte une butée (31) en opposition avec le pêne (22) du verrou (21), ladite butée (31) coopérant avec une contre-butée (34) afin d'immobiliser l'obturateur (12) en position fermée et réduire ainsi les vibrations et battements dont ledit obturateur (12) est le siège.
