The present invention is drawn to methods of stimulating or enhancing angiogenesis in a patient comprising, ad-ministering to said patient a therapeutically effective amount of an endorepellin protein, wherein said endorepellin protein has an amino acid sequence of domain V of perlecan or fragments or derivatives, analogs thereof; and stimulating or enhancing genera-tion of blood vessels. The present invention is drawn to compositions for enhancing angiogenesis.

Cette invention concerne des procédés de stimulation ou d'accélération de l'angiogenèse chez un patient, lesdits procédés comprenant les étapes consistant à administrer audit patient une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace d'endorepelline, ladite endorepelline comportant une séquence d'acides aminés du domaine V du perlecan ou des fragments, des dérivés ou des analogues de celui-ci; et à stimuler ou à accélérer la génération de vaisseaux sanguins. L'invention concerne également des compositions accélérant l'angiogenèse.
