On connecte la colonne tubulaire à une 'installation de pompage capable de faire circuler jusque dans le carter un fluide de refroidissement à une température inférieure à celle régnant dans le puits et l'on fait intervenir l'outil en remontant, en le ramenant régulièrement dans son carter refroidi en permanence par le fluide. Application à ta prospection pétrolière et à la géothermie par exemple.
