A process for the preparation of a plant growth medium having a density gradient, comprising the steps of providing a primary web comprising mineral fibre material and a curable binding agent, compressing the primary web in at least one longitudinally extending zone in such a manner that the applied pressure increases substantially continuously in the latitudinal direction of the zone, forming a secondary web by bringing the primary web overlap itself, optionally compressing said secondary web and curing the binding agent.
L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un milieu de croissance de plantes à gradient de densité. Ledit procédé consiste à prendre une bande primaire comprenant un matériau à base de fibres minérales et un agent de liaison durcissable; à comprimer la bande primaire sur au moins une zone s'étendant longitudinalement de manière que la pression appliquée augmente de façon notable et continue dans le sens transversal de la zone, à former une bande secondaire en repliant la bande primaire sur elle-même, et éventuellement à comprimer la bande secondaire et à laisser durcir l'agent de liaison.
