The well intervention system (3) of the invention is a novel subsea deployed wire line, "stiff wire", coil tubing, or reeled pipe unit landed on the existing subsea wellhead assenbly or tree (4), wherein the unit includes as an additional novel component a "carousel" tool caddy (27). The carousel is utilized to allow the remote change-out of multiple tool strings that are included in the carousel prior to deployment, thereby eliminating the need for a "riser" conduit to the surface or the need to trip tools through the riser column for tool replacement. The subject invention also includes an improved method for conducting a well intervention activity, wherein the method includes the step of selecting a tool for the well intervention activity from a carousel tool caddy located in close proximity to the well.
L'invention concerne un système d'intervention pour trou de forage (3), qui consiste en un nouveau câble métallique déployé en milieu sous-marin, en un <= câble rigide >=, en un tube d'intervention enroulé ou en une unité de tuyau de colonne de production en appui sur le système ou l'arbre de tête de puits (4), ladite unité comprenant comme nouvel élément supplémentaire, un porte-outils de type <= carrousel >= (27). Ledit carrousel sert à permettre de changer à distance des trains de tiges d'outillage situés dans le carrousel, avant l'opération de déploiement, ce qui évite d'avoir recours à un conduit <= montant >= vers la surface ou d'avoir à déplacer des outils dans la colonne montante pour remplacer des outils. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé amélioré s'utilisant pour effectuer une activité d'intervention dans un trou de forage depuis un porte-outil de type carrousel situé au voisinage proche du trou de forage.
