The invention concerns a method for making oxirane by reacting an olefin with a peroxidized compound in the presence of a catalyst and a solvent in at least two reactors arranged in series each containing part of the catalyst, said method consisting on carrying out two epoxidation reactions in series with an intermediate distillation, to minimise the formation of by-products.

Procédé de fabrication d'oxiranne pour réaction d'une oléfine avec un composé peroxydé en présence d'un catalyseur et d'un solvant dans au moins deux réacteurs disposés en série dont chacun contient une partie du catalyseur, selon lequel on effectue deux réactions d'époxydation en série moyennant une distillation intermédiaire, pour minimaliser la formation de sous-produits.
