A deicer for removing ice or snow from a high voltage electric power transmission line suspended between opposed supports. The deicer incorporates a frame, a tether, an electric power source and a vibrator. One end of the tether is attachable to the frame; the tether's opposed end is attachable to a helicopter. The electric power source is mounted on the frame. The vibrator is mounted on the frame, and is electrically connected to the power source, which is remotely operable from within the helicopter. Vibratory forces produced by the vibrator are applied to the power line, dislodging accumulated snow and ice from the power line.
Un dégivreur pour enlever la glace ou la neige d'une ligne haute tension de transport d'électricité suspendue entre des supports opposés. Le dégivreur incorpore un châssis, une attache, une source d'alimentation électrique et un vibrateur. Une extrémité de l'attache est fixée au châssis; l'extrémité opposée de l'attache peut être fixée à un hélicoptère. La source d'alimentation électrique est montée sur le châssis.
