A dual plunger valve having nested inner and outer plungers seated within a bore in the valve housing. The valve housing has an inlet port and an outlet port fluidly connected by the bore and sealed from one another by the plungers which are biased towards respective sealing surfaces by a pair of nested biasing elements located between the inlet port and the outlet port. The outer plunger is slidable within the bore and has a lip extending inwardly therefrom. The inner plunger is slidable within the outer plunger between a sealed position and a second position wherein it is in contact with the lip. Pressure in the inlet port which is high enough to overcome the force of the biasing elements causes the inner plunger to slide within the outer plunger to its second position wherein the outer plunger will then begin to slide within the bore to remove the seal between the inlet port and the outlet port.

La présente invention concerne une soupape de limitation de pression se présentant sous la forme d'une soupape à double piston comportant des pistons intérieur et extérieur intégrés, logés dans un alésage dans le compartiment de soupape. Ce dernier comporte un orifice d~admission et un orifice d~évacuation reliés de manière fluidique par l~alésage et séparés l~un de l~autre de manière étanche par les pistons qui sont inclinés vers des surfaces de scellage respectives par une paire d~éléments d~inclinaison intégrés situés entre l~orifice d~admission et l~orifice d~évacuation. Le piston extérieur peut coulisser dans l~alésage et comporte une lèvre qui s~étend vers l'intérieur de celui-ci. Le piston intérieur peut coulisser dans le piston extérieur entre une position scellée et une seconde position dans laquelle il est en contact avec la lèvre. La pression dans l'orifice d'admission qui est suffisamment élevée pour surmonter la force des éléments d~inclinaison fait coulisser le piston intérieur dans le piston extérieur jusqu~à sa seconde position, dans laquelle le piston extérieur commence alors à coulisser dans l~alésage pour supprimer le scellage entre l~orifice d~admission et l~orifice d~évacuation.
