An apparatus for storing and transporting a preselected number of fluorescent lamps has a cylindrical container with a rigid surrounding wall, and a plurality of first foam cylindrical elements for spacing the lamps from each other and the surrounding wall. The foam elements are compressible, flexible and resilient. Two end foam elements are provided one at each end of the container to aid in maintaining the lamps longitudinally stationary within the container. The first foam elements have a number of evenly spaced apart openings in which the lamps are received. The apparatus effectively prevents breakage of the lamps stored therein in the event that any external shocks are imparted to the container, for example during transportation.
Appareil d'entreposage et de transport d'un nombre prédéterminé de tubes fluorescents. Le dispositif comprend un contenant cylindrique à paroi rigide et une pluralité de premiers éléments cylindriques en mousse servant à séparer les tubes les uns des autres et de la paroi. Les éléments en mousse sont compressibles, flexibles et résilients. Deux éléments en mousse d'extrémité sont placés l'un à chaque extrémité du cylindre,afin d'aider les tubes à demeurer stationnaires dans le sens longitudinal à l'intérieur du cylindre. Le premier élément en mousse comprend un certain nombre d'ouvertures espacées également entre elles et dans lesquelles les tubes sont introduits. L'appareil empêche le bris des tubes entreprosés à l'intérieur du cylindre dans le cas ou le conteneur subirait des chocs au cours du transport.
