Interactive virtual reality (VR) performance theater and environment system (100) in which plural participants enjoy an entertainment and/or educational experience. The performance is viewed by the participants through VR display devices such as a head mounted display (HMD), wherein both an immersive graphical environment and live and/or pre-recorded performers are viewed. The participants exert limited control over content and outcome of performance by hand held input devices (16) having a plurality of buttons (80), and/or voice communications, while viewing the performers who are mixed within the immersive VR environment. Inter- connected computers (102, video and audio processing devices (106, 108) are used. A network (104) interconnects the computers, participants, and live/pre-recorded performers for video, audio, and graphics transmission.
La présente invention concerne un système interactif à réalité virtuelle (virtual reality / VR) d'environnement et de représentation théâtrale (100) dans lequel une pluralité de participants peuvent vivre une expérience de divertissement/d'éducation. La représentation est visualisée par les participants via des dispositifs d'affichage VR tels qu'un vidéocasque (head mounted display / HMD) qui permet de voir à la fois un environnement graphique immersif et des artistes se produisant en direct et/ou dont la représentation a été préalablement enregistrée. Les participants exercent un contrôle limité sur le contenu et l'issue de la représentation par l'intermédiaire de dispositifs d'entrée manuels (16) présentant une pluralité de touches (80), et/ou de communications vocales, lors de la visualisation des artistes en représentation qui sont mélangés à l'environnement VR immersif. Des ordinateurs interconnectés (102) et des dispositifs de traitement vidéo et audio (106, 108) sont utilisés. Un réseau (104) sert à interconnecter les ordinateurs, les participants, et les artistes se produisant en direct/dont la représentation a été préalablement enregistrée, à des fins de transmission vidéo, audio et graphique.
