In a mold closing unit for use in an injection molding machine for processing plastifiable materials comprising a first device for transfering a movable mold carrier and a second device for bringing-up the closing force, the first device is supported at a first supporting element. A second supporting element is provided for supporting the second device, which acts on the first device, the first supporting element and the movable mold carrier. As second device for bringing-up the closing force an eccentric or a hydraulic drive unit are provided.
