A polymerization apparatus includes a support plate for supporting a workpiece to be polymerized and a hood comprising a light source for guiding light to the workpiece such that the light impinges on at least two sides of the workpiece. The hood is liftable relative to the support plate so as to allow access to the workpiece when in a lifted position. A heat source for heating the workpiece is provided. A control device controls the function of the polymerization apparatus. A method for operating the polymerization apparatus includes the steps of heating the workpiece to a desired temperature after switching on the light source, maintaining the desired temperature for a desired polymerization cycle time period, and subsequently shutting down the light source and the heat source for a final polymerization cycle time period.
Cette invention concerne un appareil de polymérisation comprenant une plaque support sur laquelle déposer la pièce à polymériser et un capot comportant une source lumineuse illuminant au moins deux côtés de la pièce à polymériser. Le capot articulé se relève pour donner accès à l'intérieur de l'appareil et à la pièce. L'appareil comprend également une source de chaleur pour le chauffage de la pièce. Un dispositif de commande règle le fonctionnement de l'appareil de polymérisation. Une méthode d'exploitation de l'appareil comprend une étape de chauffage de la pièce à la température appropriée après l'allumage de la source lumineuse, une étape de maintien à la température voulue durant une période appropriée du cycle de polymérisation et une étape de désactivation des sources lumineuse et de chaleur durant une période terminale du cycle de polymérisation.
