A milking implement for milking a dairy animal comprises a measuring device (M) for measuring a position of at least one teat of the dairy animal and a control device for controlling at least the measuring device. The control device is arranged to a. perform by means of the measuring device (M) at least one measurement on at least one point on an object (O) in order to obtain a position information regarding the object (O), b. compare the obtained position information with a known position information regarding the object (O), and c. calibrate the measuring device (M) on the basis of the comparison between the obtained position information and the known position information.
L'invention porte sur un dispositif de traite d'animal laitier. Le dispositif de traite comporte un dispositif de mesure (M) destiné à mesurer la position d'au moins une des mamelles de l'animal laitier et un dispositif de commande destiné à commander au moins le dispositif de mesure. Le dispositif de commande est agencé pour a) au moyen du dispositif de mesure (M), effectuer au moins une mesure d'au moins un point d'un objet (O) afin d'obtenir des informations de position concernant l'objet (O); b) comparer les informations de position obtenues aux informations de position connues concernant l'objet (O); et c) calibrer le dispositif de mesure (M) en fonction de la comparaison entre les informations de position obtenues et les informations de position connues.
