Contaminating viruses can be efficiently eliminated while scarcely losing the protein activity by treating a plasma protein composition with a fear of viral contamination with a porous membrane having a pore size larger than the diameter of a single viral particle, in particular, subjecting the plasma protein composition to fractionation by sedimentation prior to the treatment with the porous membrane. In particular, fibrinogen compositions free from non- envelope viruses, among all parvovirus can be provided thereby. Thus, safe plasma protein preparations free from any viruses can be conveniently provided.
On peut éliminer efficacement des virus contaminants, sans trop diminuer l'activité protéinique, en traitant un composition à base de protéine de plasma, soupçonnée d'avoir subi une contamination virale, à l'aide d'une membrane poreuse dont la dimension des pores dépasse le diamètre d'une particule virale, et notamment en fractionnant cette composition par sédimentation avant de la traiter au moyen de ladite membrane poreuse. Il est ainsi possible, dans le cadre de cette invention, de produire des compositions fibrinogènes exempte de virus dépourvus d'enveloppe, au nombre desquels tous les parvovirus. Cette invention permet, de la sorte, de produire commodément des préparations à base de protéines de plasma exemptes de tout virus.
