ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A disposable absorbent product, such as a sanitary napkin, a diaper, an adult brief, an incontinence pad or a wound dressing, comprising an ultra-thin absorbent core and a bulk layer of filler material adjacent the ultra- thin absorbent core, giving the illusion of an absorbent product with a thick absorbent pad, in order to provide a certain degree of mental comfort and security to a wearer with a skeptical attitude toward ultra-thin absorbent products. The invention also extends to a method for enhancing the public acceptance of a disposable absorbent product with an ultra-thin absorbent core by providing in the disposable absorbent product a bulk layer of filler material.
