An orally administered pharmaceutical preparation for a pharmacologically active ingredient contains an effective amount of said active ingredient and 0.5 to 3 g of glucomannan in a dosage form for a single oral administration. The preparation provides sustained effect of the active ingredient by delaying absorption of the active ingredient in the small intestine and enabling full absorption of residual part of the active ingredient in the large intestine.
