An apparatus for delivering fluid to a site at a controlled rate and pressure, which comprises a housing (1) enveloping three interconnected chambers comprising a first end chamber (2), a connecting chamber (6) and a second end chamber (3), an inlet port (8) and an outlet port (9) each located in a side wall of the connecting chamber, each of the inlet port and the outlet port being associated with a valve (10, 11) for opening and closing the respective port; a first piston means (12) positioned within the first end chamber and a second piston means (13) positioned within the second end chamber, each of said piston means having a head with an inwardly facing surface (14) having a periphery which fits snugly within the corresponding end chamber to form a fluid-tight seal with the at least one side wall of the end chamber, wherein at least a portion of a side wall of the connecting chamber intrudes inwardly to provide a stop for the head of each piston means; and closure means to close the open end of each end chamber.
L'invention vise un appareil servant à distribuer un fluide à un débit et à une pression préétablis, lequel comprend une enveloppe (1) enfermant trois chambres interreliées, c'est-à-dire une première chambre d'extrémité (2), une chambre de liaison (6) et une deuxième chambre d'extrémité (3), un orifice d'admission (8) et un orifice de sortie (9) respectivement aménagés dans une paroi latérale de la chambre de liaison et munis d'un robinet (10, 11) permettant d'ouvrir et d'obturer ledit orifice, un premier piston (12) disposé dans la première chambre d'extrémité, et un deuxième piston (13) disposé dans la deuxième chambre d'extrémité, ces deux pistons comportant une tête à surface concave (14), s'adaptant parfaitement, en périphérie, à au moins une des parois latérales de la chambre de manière à assurer un joint étanche, une portion de la paroi latérale de la chambre de liaison faisant saillie dans la chambre d'extrémité et servant ainsi de butée à la tête du piston, et enfin d'un dispositif de fermeture servant à obturer l'extrémité ouverte de chaque chambre d'extrémité.
