Compounds of formula (I) and salts thereof are useful for treating accumulation of calcium in brain cells, wherein X represents O, S, NH or a bond; p and q independently represent 0-4 such that the sum of p + q is at least 1; R1 and R2 each each independently represent hydrogen, C1-6alkyl, C3-C6cycloalkyl, or C1-4alkyl-C3-6cycloalkyl; n is 1, 2 or 3; and Ar represents phenyl optionally substituted by 1 to 3 substituents selected from: halo, C1-4alkyl, C1-4alkoxy, C1-2alkylenedioxy, trifluoromethyl, trifluoromethoxy, CN, NO2, amino, mono- or di-alkylamino, optionally substituted benzoyl and Ph(CH2)rY(CH2)s- where Ph is optionally substituted phenyl, Y is oxygen or a bond and r and s each independently represent 0-4 provided that the sum of r + s is not greater than 4, or Ar represents an optionally substituted unsaturated monocyclic heteroaryl ring system containing 5 or 6 ring members, or an optionally substituted, unsaturated or partially saturated bicyclic aryl or heteroaryl ring system containing 8-10 ring members.
L'invention concerne des composés de la formule (I) et des sels de ceux-ci utiles pour traiter l'accumulation de calcium dans des cellules du cerveau. Dans cette formule X représente O, S, NH ou une liaison; p et q sont chacun compris entre 0 et 4, une condition à satisfaire étant que la somme de p + q soit au moins égale à 1; R<1> et R<2> représentent chacun indépendamment un hydrogène, un C1-6alkyle, un C3-6cycloalkyle ou un C1-4alkyl-C3-6cycloalkyle; n est égal à 1, 2 ou 3; et Ar représente un phényle éventuellement substitué par 1 à 3 substituants choisis parmi: halo, C1-4alkyle, C1-4alcoxy, C1-2alkylènedioxy, trifluorométhyle, trifluorométhoxy, CN, NO2, amino, mono- ou di-alkylamino, benzoyle éventuellement substitué, et Ph(CH2)rY(CH2)s- où Ph est un phényle éventuellement substitué, Y est un oxygène ou une liaison et r et s sont chacun compris indépendamment entre 0 et 4, une condition à satisfaire étant que la somme de r + s ne dépasse pas 4 ou Ar représente un système hétéroaromatique monocyclique insaturé à 5 ou 6 éléments, éventuellement substitué, ou un système aromatique ou hétéroaromatique bicyclique insaturé ou partiellement saturé à 8 - 10 éléments, éventuellement substitué.
