The present invention relates to a method for the monitoring of anti-HBV drug resistance in a patient by genetic detection of at least one of the mutations L528M, M552V/I and/or V/L/M555I in the DNA polymerase of the HBV strains present in a biological sample of said patient. The present invention provides new HBV DNA polymerase sequences to be used for the design of new probes allowing a very specific and sensitive detection of anti-HBV drug resistance.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de surveillance de la résistance médicamenteuse anti-HBV chez un patient par détection génétique d'au moins une des mutations L528M, M552V/I et/ou V/L/M555I dans l'ADN-polymérase des souches HBV présentes dans un échantillon biologique dudit patient. L'invention concerne de nouvelles séquences d'ADN-polymérase HBV pouvant être utilisées lors de la conception de nouvelles sondes permettant une détection spécifique et efficace de la résistance médicamenteuse anti-HBV.
