A technique is employed for controlling and isolating flow along a wellbore. The technique utilizes a plurality of assemblies that each have a flow isolation device integrated with a flow control device. The assemblies can be assembled into a flow control string for deployment into a well. The assemblies and overall flow control string are designed to enable running of the flow control string through the interior of a primary liner.
