The superalkalinized alkylaryl sulphonates of alkaline earth metal according to the invention characterized in that the aryl sulphonate radical of alkaline earth metal in which the aryl radical is other than phenyl is fixed in a molar proportion comprised between 0 and 13%, preferably between 5 and 11% and more particularly between 7 and 10% in positions 1 or 2 of the linear alkyl chain. These sulphonates have at set of advantageous properties as additives for lubricating oils. The invention also relates to the corresponding alkylaryl hydrocarbons and preparation processes for these sulphonates and hydrocarbons
