A computer system (10) and method for administering life safety programs includes a database module (18) for storing maintenance, operation, and program implementation requirement information and actual maintenance, operation, and program implementation information for various pieces of specialized equipment. The computer system also includes a training and maintenance module (16) that is operable to compare the actual information with the required information to determine if the various pieces of specialized equipment are being properly maintained and operated, and if programs associated with the various pieces of specialized equipment are being properly implemented. If not, the maintenance module generates a communication to the user indicating that fact and provides the user with information regarding the proper procedure to follow to bring the specialized equipment and associated program into compliance with requirements.
L'invention concerne un système informatique (10) ainsi qu'un procédé permettant de gérer des programmes de sécurité des personnes. Ce système informatique comprend un module de base de données (18) conçu pour stocker des informations relatives à des exigences de maintenance, de fonctionnement et d'exécution de programmes ainsi que des informations réelles relatives à la maintenance, au fonctionnement et à l'exécution de programmes de diverses pièces d'équipement spécialisé. Ce système informatique comprend en outre un module de maintenance d'apprentissage (16) pouvant servir à comparer les informations réelles avec les informations relatives aux exigences, pour déterminer si les différentes pièces de l'équipement spécialisé sont entretenues et fonctionnent de manière appropriée, et si les programmes associés à ces diverses pièces d'équipement spécialisé sont exécutés de façon adéquate. Dans le cas contraire, le module de maintenance génère une communication adressée à l'utilisateur lui faisant part de cette situation et lui fournit des informations concernant la procédure qu'il convient de suivre pour que l'équipement spécialisé et les programmes associés soient en conformité avec lesdites exigences.
