The invention concerns an improved method for the separation of oxygen or nitrogen from air according to the vacuum swing adsorption (VSA) process or pressure vacuum swing adsorption (PVSA) process using a vacuum pump system optimized for the desorption of the adsorbed air component. This system comprises a radial flow compressor and a vacuum pump operating according to the displacement principle, in particular a rotary piston compressor.

L'invention concerne un procédé amélioré permettant de séparer de l'oxygène ou de l'azote contenu dans l'air en termes d'adsorption par oscillation sous vide (VSA) ou d'adsorption par oscillation sous vide sous pression (PVSA) à l'aide d'un système de pompe à faire le vide optimisé pour la désorption du constituant d'air adsorbé. Ce système comprend une soufflante radiale et une pompe à faire le vide fonctionnant selon le principe volumétrique, notamment une soufflante à piston rotatif.
