An expandable vaginal insert device (50) for reducing the occurrence of female urinary incontinence. The vaginal insert device (50) includes at least a resilient member capable of expanding to transmit pressure to the urethro- vaginal myofascial area. Optionally, the device may include one or more non- absorbent layers in addition to the resilient member. The resilient member and any additional layers are formed into an elongated member, which may then be shaped into a M-shaped shaped profile or a dome-shaped profile.

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'insertion vaginal pouvant être expansé et permettant de réduire l'incontinence urinaire féminine. Ce dispositif comprend au moins un élément élastique capable de s'expanser en vue de transmettre de la pression dans la zone uréthro-vaginale myofasciale. Le dispositif peut éventuellement comprendre, en plus de l'élément élastique, au moins une couche non absorbante. L'élément élastique et toute couche supplémentaire sont conçus sous forme d'élément allongé pouvant être ensuite profilé sous forme de M ou de dôme.
