The guide device is used in the construction of a masonry structure on a foundation. The device is composed of an angle iron and a sleeve which is seated on the top of the angle iron. A rod slides in the sleeve and a wing nut screws into the sleeve for selectively maintaining the rod stationary within the sleeve. A flat strip of iron is attached to the free end of the rod and that strip is placed flat against a sheet of plywood or the like against which a wall of bricks is to be laid. Round apertures and slots are formed in the strip for receipt of nails so that it can be nailed to the sheet.
Le dispositif de guidage sert à la construction d'une structure de maçonnerie sur une fondation. Il se compose d'une cornière et d'une douille qui repose sur le sommet de la cornière. Une tige coulisse dans la douille, et un écrou à oreilles est vissé dans la douille pour immobiliser, de manière sélective, la tige dans la douille. Une bande plate de fer est fixée à l'extrémité libre de la tige, et cette bande est placée à plat contre un panneau contreplaqué ou quelque chose de semblable contre lequel un mur de briques doit être construit. Des ouvertures rondes et des fentes sont taillées dans la bande de manière à recevoir des clous pour qu'elle puisse être fixée au panneau.
