ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An adhesive bandage having a reservoir embedded between a cover layer and an upper layer of a compress of an adhesive bandage. The reservoir may be located either within the compress or between the compress and the cover layer. An active ingredient dissolved in a liquid or pasty substance is contained in the reservoir. The material of the reservoir is impermeable to penetration by the active ingredient and the substance in which it has been dissolved. The reservoir can be broken under finger pressure and the active ingredient then soaks into the compress. F-188 jaf/2
