Enhanced horizontal drilling systems and methods encompass the production of crude oil from wells (12, 14, and 16) drilled from a subterranean production facility. The wellhead is below the oil reservoir to improve flow rate and recovery due to gravity flow from the wellbore to the wellhead allowing wellbore production pressure to achieve extremely low fluid pressure, even up to 15 PSI. The present method is production of shallow crude oil by way of long, or near, horizontal boreholes drilled and serviced from a subsurface workroom. The subsurface workroom serves as the place to which production is centrally accumulated. Oil is collected in a central facility and lifted to the surface utilizing pumps (64).

Cette invention se rapporte à des systèmes et des procédés de forage horizontal améliorés, qui permettent la production de pétrole brut à partir de puits (12, 14 et 16) forés depuis une installation de production souterraine.
