A targeted tissue region in a body is treated by a tissue heating element (44) attached to a carrier. The carrier is intended, in use, to be temporarily mounted to an exterior of a catheter body, such as an endoscope. The catheter body is deployed, with the carrier mounted on it, into the targeted tissue region. The tissue heating element (44) is operated, e.g., to form one or more tissue lesions, after which the catheter body is retrieved from the targeted tissue region. The carrier can then be removed from the catheter body, allowing the catheter body to the subsequently used for another purpose.

La présente invention concerne le traitement d'une zone tissulaire ciblée de l'anatomie au moyen d'un élément chauffant tissulaire (44) fixé sur un vecteur. L'utilisation de ce vecteur implique son montage temporaire sur l'extérieur d'un corps de cathéter tel qu'un endoscope. On déploie le corps du cathéter, le vecteur étant monté sur le corps, à l'intérieur de la zone tissulaire ciblée. La mise en fonction de l'élément chauffant tissulaire (44) vise à former au moins une lésion tissulaire, après quoi on récupère le corps du cathéter depuis la zone tissulaire ciblée. Le vecteur peut alors être retiré su corps du cathéter, ce qui permet de réutiliser le corps du cathéter à une autre fin.
