A system for providing temporary durable protective coatings onto surfaces of building construction elements, and for controllably removing said temporary protective coatings from said surfaces. The system comprises coating compositions configured to provide pliable resilient yet durable temporary protective coverings on surfaces of building construction elements, stripping compositions configured to at least partially dissolve the temporary protective coverings, and methods for use of said coating compositions and said stripping compositions. The coating compositions are provided with at least a first component comprising a film-forming carboxylic-acid-containing polymer, a second component comprising a plasticizer chemically compatible with the first component, a third component comprising a grafting polymer suitable for forming cross-linking bonds between the first and second components, a fourth component comprising a solvent chemically suitable for solubilizing therein said first, second and third components, and a fifth component comprising a surfactant.
L~invention concerne un système destiné à constituer des revêtements protecteurs temporaires durables sur des surfaces d~éléments de construction, ainsi qu~à éliminer de manière contrôlée lesdits revêtements protecteurs temporaires desdites surfaces. Le système comprend des compositions de revêtement conçues de manière à constituer des revêtements protecteurs temporaires flexibles résilients mais cependant durables sur des surfaces d~éléments de construction, des compositions décapantes conçues de manière à dissoudre au moins en partie les revêtements protecteurs temporaires, ainsi que des procédés d~utilisation desdites compositions de revêtement et desdites compositions décapantes. Les compositions de revêtement comprennent au moins un premier composant comprenant un polymère filmogène contenant un acide carboxylique, un deuxième composant comprenant un plastifiant chimiquement compatible avec le premier composant, un troisième composant comprenant un polymère de greffage adapté pour la formation de liaison de réticulation entre les premier et deuxième composants, un quatrième composant comprenant un solvant chimiquement approprié pour y solubiliser lesdits premier, deuxième et troisième composants, et un cinquième composant comprenant un tensioactif.
