The invention relates to a method for producing dimensionally accurate metal foam from a foamable, powder metallurgically produced metal semifinished product having a melting point > 200 ~C involving: the introduction of material, which is capable of foaming when T > 200 ~C, into a mold, which is thermally stable up to the melting point of the foamable material and which has a coefficient of expansion of less than 3 K-1, preferably < 1 K-1; the controlled heating of the foamable material inside the mold while radiators foam said material, whereby these radiators are controlled with regard to energy output and are used on or through the mold, and; the removal of the foam formed thereby from the mold. The invention also relates to a device for producing dimensionally accurate thermally foamed metal foam parts that comprises: a thin-walled mold, which is stable at the melting temperature of the metal foam and which has a coefficient of expansion of < 3 K-1; a controllable irradiating device, and; a controller that controls the irradiating device based on the measurement given by a radiation measuring device.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire de la mousse de métal aux dimensions exactes, à partir d'un demi-produit métallique apte au moussage, produit par métallurgie des poudres et dont le point de fusion est >200 ·C. Selon ledit procédé, il est prévu: d'introduire à T>200 ·C, un matériau apte au moussage dans un moule thermorésistant jusqu'au point de fusion du matériau apte au moussage, avec un coefficient d'expansion inférieure à 3K?-1¿, de préférence <1K?-1¿ ; de chauffer de manière régulée ledit matériau apte au moussage dans le moule, avec un moussage par des radiateurs régulés en restitution d'énergie, qui sont utilisés sur le moule ou à travers ledit moule ; et de démouler la mousse ainsi obtenue par moussage. L'invention concerne également un dispositif servant à produire des pièces en mousse de métal obtenues par moussage thermique, aux dimensions exactes, qui présente une coquille à fine paroi, stable à la température de fusion de la mousse de métal, avec un coefficient d'expansion <3K?-1¿, un dispositif de rayonnement régulable et une commande qui pilote le dispositif de rayonnement, sur la base de la mesure fournie par un dispositif de mesure de rayonnement.
