Provided herein is a method for analyzing a target nucleic acid to determine the number of tandemly repeated sequences, which may form a part of the target sequence, relative to a complementary oligonucleotide. Also provided is a target sequence capture reagent for capturing a target sequence which comprises a tandemly repeated sequence.
