A rotary locking mechanism connects an upper ramp (24) and a lower ramp (22) of a split ramp railway car (20). A pin carrier (30) supports a coupling pin (34) and is mounted to the lower ramp (22) by a swivel pin. The pin carrier (30) can pivot horizontally relative to the lower ramp (22). A dual vertical rotor lock is mounted to the upper ramp (24). The rotor lock includes first and second coupling disks (36, 38) which have rotor slots (40) for receiving the coupling pin (34). The coupling disks (36, 38) have a horizontal axis of rotation so that the disks are vertically mounted.

Mécanisme de blocage rotatif qui connecte une rampe supérieure (24) et une rampe inférieure (22) d'un wagon (20) de chemin de fer à rampe en deux parties. Un support (30) soutient une broche (34) d'accouplement et est monté sur la rampe inférieure (22) à l'aide d'un axe de pivotement. Le support (30) de broche peut pivoter horizontalement par rapport à la rampe inférieure (22). Un blocage vertical à deux rotors est monté sur la rampe supérieure (24). Ledit mécanisme de blocage à rotor comporte des premier et second disques d'accouplement (36, 38) qui possèdent des fentes (40) de rotor destinées à recevoir la broche d'accouplement (34). Les disques d'accouplement (36, 38) possèdent un axe horizontal de rotation si bien qu'ils sont montés verticalement.
