Disclosed are oral hygiene regimens comprising a plurality of steps involving the use of two or more oral care products containing actives effective to provide one or more benefits including cleaning, antimicrobial, antiplaque, anticaries, anti-calculus, anti-demineralizing, anti-erosion, antisensitivity/desensitizing, whitening, surface conditioning, polishing, and pH-balancing, wherein the plurality of steps are conducted and sequenced for maximizing delivery of oral care actives to target surfaces of a subject's oral cavity thereby achieving optimum oral health and hygiene benefits. In one aspect, a regimen comprises at least once daily of each of the following steps: (a) applying an antimicrobial dentifrice to oral cavity surfaces, and (b) rinsing the oral cavity with an antimicrobial mouthrinse, wherein at least one of steps (a) and (b) is conducted prior to retiring at night. Preferably the regimen comprises as step (c) treating interproximal, gingival and subgingival areas of the oral cavity using an interproximal device selected from dental floss, floss pick, dental tape, and proxy brush, wherein step (c) is conducted immediately before or immediately after one or both of steps (a) and (b).

L'invention concerne des régimes de soins buccaux composés d'une pluralité d'étapes et impliquant l'utilisation de deux ou plus produits de soin buccal contenant des actifs efficaces pour produire un ou plusieurs effets bénéfiques, notamment un effet nettoyant, antimicrobien, antiplaque, anticaries, antitartre, antidéminéralisation, anti-érosion, antisensibilisation/désensibilisation, blanchissant de surface, polissant et équilibreur de pH, la pluralité d'étapes étant accomplies et ordonnées de manière à délivrer une quantité maximale d'actifs thérapeutiques aux surfaces-cibles de la cavité buccale, afin de bénéficier au mieux à la santé buccale et à l'hygiène du sujet. Par un aspect, le régime comprend l'accomplissement au moins une fois par jour de chacune des étapes suivantes : (a) l'application d'un dentifrice antimicrobien sur les surfaces de la cavité buccale et (b) le rinçage de la cavité buccale avec un bain de bouche antimicrobien, l'une au moins des étapes (a) et (b) étant accomplie le soir avant le coucher. Le régime comprend de préférence comme étape (c) le traitement des zones interdentaires, gingivales et sous-gingivales de la cavité buccale au moyen d'un dispositif interdentaire choisi parmi la soie dentaire, un bâtonnet de soie dentaire, la bande dentaire ou une brosse de remplacement, l'étape (c) étant accomplie immédiatement avant ou immédiatement après l'une des deux ou les deux étapes (a) et (b).
