A watercraft including flotation (1) and propulsion members, which propulsion members are two blades (2 and 3) hinged to a float. The floatability factor of the float is such that the volume of water displaced in the submerged position weighs the same as or up to twice as much as the laden craft, whereby, when a pitching motion is imparted to the craft, it moves sinusoidally in and out of the water and the blades (2 and 3) swing back and forth about their respective hinges between abutments, thus urging the craft forwards.
Embarcation comprenant des moyens de flortaison et de propulsion comprenant ici deux pales articulées au corps flottant. Celui-ci présents en coefficient de flottabilité tel que le volume d'eau déplacé en position d'immersion corresponde à 1 à 2 fois le poids total en charge de l'embarcation. Ceci permet de donner, par un mouvement de tangage, un movement d'immersion/émersion sinusoïdal à l'embarcation et de faire ainsi osciller les pales autour de leurs articulations respectives entre des butées, communiquant ainsi à l'embarcation une pousée dans la direction de propulsion.
