A process is disclosed for monitoring the corrosion of the C-steel of which a container, in particular a steam generator, is made, while the container is cleaned with at least one chemical substance which releases during the cleaning process a gas, in particular nitrogen. The volume ratio or quantitative proportions of hydrogen and the released gas in the gas-steam mixture generated during the cleaning process are determined and compared with a threshold value. When the threshold value is exceeded, the cleaning process is interrupted.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour contrôler la corrosion de l'acier ordinaire d'un contenant, notamment d'un générateur de vapeur, pendant le nettoyage du contenant avec au moins un produit chimique, qui libère un gaz notamment de l'azote, lors du nettoyage. Ce procédé consiste à déterminer, dans le mélange gaz-vapeur formé lors du nettoyage, le rapport volumique ou quantitatif entre l'hydrogène et le gaz libéré, pour le comparer ensuite avec une valeur limite. Le nettoyage est interrompu si la valeur limite est dépassée.
