A method of calibrating the selectable trip points of an overload relay (10) wherein a neural network is used in the calibration process. The calibration method involves precisely positioning an indicia (30) comprised of a number of graduation marks or symbols each representing a particular trip point and having a range and spacing unique to the characteristics of an overload detection circuit of a particular overload relay. The indicia is calibrated with respect to predetermined positions of a trip point indicator (26) and fixed with respect to the predetermined positions of the trip point indicator. The range and spacing of the indicia graduations is derived from the neural network learned trip point values and from trip point values obtained from the particular overload relay being calibrated.
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de calibrer les points de déclenchement sélectionnables d'un relais à maximum (10), lequel procédé fait appel à un réseau neural. Le procédé de calibrage consiste à positionner de façon précise un repère (30) composé de plusieurs marques ou symboles de graduation représentant chacun un point de déclenchement particulier et dont l'étendue et l'espacement sont spécifiques aux caractéristiques d'un circuit de détection de surcharge d'un relais à maximum particulier. Le repère est calibré par rapport aux positions prédéterminées d'un dispositif indicateur (26) de point de déclenchement et il est fixé par rapport à ces positions. L'étendue et l'espacement des graduations du repère sont dérivées des valeurs de point de déclenchement apprises par le réseau neural et des valeurs de point de déclenchement obtenues à partir du relais à maximum en cours de calibrage.
