A floor stripper composition is provided, having a pH-value above 9.0, and comprising a soap, water and a glycine-N, N-diacetic acid compound, which is preferably methylglycine diacetic acid (MGDA). The diacetic acid is desirably in the form of a divalent metal complex thereof. A process is also provided for removing a zinc containing acrylate polymer film from a floor surface, wherein a floor stripper composition of the invention is applied. A good floor stripper performance could be obtained with this composition owing to its low foaming behaviour.

L'invention concerne une composition décapante pour les sols. Cette composition présente une valeur de pH supérieure à 9,0, et comprend du savon, de l'eau, et un composé d'acide glycine-N,N-diacétique qui est de préférence, un acide méthylglycine diacétique (MGDA). Cet acide diacétique se présente, de préférence, sous forme d'un complexe métallique divalent. L'invention concerne aussi un procédé pour retirer un film polymère d'acrylate à base de zinc de la surface d'un sol, selon lequel la composition décapante pour les sols selon l'invention est appliquée. Cette composition présente une bonne capacité de décapage des sols du fait de ses faibles propriétés moussantes.
