An ultrasonic surgical clamp coagulator apparatus is configured to effect cutting, coagulation, and clamping of tissue by cooperation of a clamping mechanism of the apparatus with an associated ultrasonic end-effector. Rotational positioning of an elongated portion and end-effector is achieved by the provision of a clutch mechanism incorporated into a housing apparatus. The arrangement permits the elongated portion to be rotatably positioned with respect to the apparatus housing and permits rotation of a the end-effector relative to the elongated portion.

Le positionnement rotatif d'une pièce allongée et du terminal se fait au moyen d'un mécanisme d'embrayage incorporé dans un logement. Le mécanisme d'embrayage permet de positionner la pièce allongée en la faisant tourner par rapport au logement. Il permet également de faire tourner le terminal par rapport à la pièce allongée.
