A set of femoral components and patellar components for knee prostheses whose trochlear sides, femoral condyles and patellar facets have the same curvature and shape, spherical by preference; the femoral component having a transversal gap or condylotrochlear sulcus between the trochlea and each of the condyles. The kinematic interaction between the design of the patellar crest and the trochlear groove allows the patellar component to move gently from the trochlea to the condyles and vice versa without rubbing against the condylotrochlear sulcus and to make constant surface contact with the femoral component.

Ensemble de composants fémoral (1) et rotulien (2) d'une prothèse de genou dont les versants trochléens (11), les condyles fémoraux (12) et les facettes rotuliennes (22) ont la même courbure et forme, de préférence sphérique; le composant fémoral présente une fente transversale ou sillon condylotrochléen entre la trochlée et chacun des condyles (14). L'interaction cinématique entre la configuration de la crête rotulienne (21) et la gorge trochléenne (13) permet au composant rotulien de se déplacer sans heurt depuis la trochlée jusqu'aux condyles et vice versa sans frottement avec le sillon condylotrochléen (c) et permet de maintenir constamment un contact de type superficiel avec le composant fémoral.
