A system for providing improved vision to a patient having undergone an intraocular lens implantation includes a device for measuring an aberration in an eye of a patient having an intraocular lens implanted therein. Computer software is resident on a processor and is adapted to calculate a refraction profile prescription for correcting the measured aberration. An apparatus is also provided for altering a refractive index of a sector of the intraocular lens in situ according to the calculated prescription. L~invention concerne un système permettant d~améliorer la vision d~un patient ayant subi une implantation de lentille intraoculaire. Ce système comprend un dispositif de mesure d~une aberration dans l~AEil d~un patient dans lequel une lentille intraoculaire a été implantée. Un logiciel contenu dans un processeur est conçu pour calculer une prescription de profil de réfraction pour corriger l~aberration mesurée. L~invention prévoit également un appareil permettant de modifier un indice de réfraction d~un secteur de la lentille intraoculaire in situ d~après la prescription calculée. Enfin, l~invention concerne un procédé comprenant la mesure d~une aberration dans l~AEil d~un patient dans lequel une lentille oculaire est implantée, le calcul d~une prescription de profil de réfraction pour corriger l~aberration mesurée et la modification de l~indice de réfraction d~un secteur de la lentille intraoculaire in situ d~après la prescription calculée.
