A PON system in which uplink communication from terminals (2-4) connected to station device (1) through optical fibers (5, 7-9) at transmission rates (L, M, H). An unregistered terminal performs discovery response at a transmission rate (L) during a discovery period to allow the station device (1) to detect the unregistered terminal. With this, the station device (1) can wait for a discovery response with the reception function adapting to the transmission rate (L).

La présente invention concerne un système PON dans lequel s'effectue une communication de liaison montante provenant de terminaux (2-4) connectés à un dispositif station (1) par le biais de fibres optiques (5, 7-9) à des vitesses de transmission (L, M, H). Un terminal non enregistré réalise une réponse de découverte à une vitesse de transmission (L) pendant une période de découverte de manière à permettre au dispositif station (1) de détecter le terminal non enregistré.
